Okay, so, one of the longest running Sonic NSFW artists, @bbmbbf has blocked me because I suggested to him that he pays for writers. For context: He put out a post asking for people to email him comic ideas, and that he’ll ask you to write him a script if he likes the idea. Sounds reasonable at first until he states that he won’t pay you for your script, but “you’ll be the first to see the comic”, sorry sunshine but that’s not how that works, you get approached with ideas and requests all the time, and I know you expect to be paid for your comics, so when you in turn are the one asking for help and collaborators, you’re the one who needs to be willing to pay for it. And I know they can afford it, because I’ve seen what they charge for commissions, and I’ve brought one of their damn statues. If you want somebody’s services, you pay them for that service to be rendered.
Coming out the woodwork
I noticed a lot of people have started commenting and favouriting my old stuff lately. I’m not sure what gave me a boost in visibility but thank you. I also request that you take a look at my newest stuff, I’ve given up on my delusion of being an “artist“ and turned to writing stories instead. I’d rather be known for those if you wouldn’t mind, everything before those stories is mostly regretted and doesn’t represent the person I am today.
